Dear Patients,

 

I hope this letter finds you in good health and spirits. It is with mixed emotions that I write to inform you of an important transition in my professional journey as your Family Physician. After careful consideration, I have decided to leave my current practice at Docs on the Bay as of January 1, 2024 and live and work on Bowen Island attaching to the new health care centre. This decision has been made after much thought and consideration of your well-being and ensuring a smooth transition of care.

 

Please understand that your health and well-being remain my utmost concern. Despite extensive efforts, I continue to search for a suitable successor to continue the care you deserve. Unfortunately, none of the physicians at Docs on the Bay can take on more patients to their practices. I have arranged locum physician coverage starting January 2024 and will continue to have coverage until a replacement is found. Given the possibility that a replacement physician may not be found, I strongly advise you join a local Family Practitioner waitlist as soon as possible:

Rest assured, your medical records will be securely maintained at Docs on the Bay and automatically transferred to the new physician taking over my practice, when one is found. If you wish to transfer to another practice, please submit a Chart Transfer Request to Docs on the Bay.
